Borg vs McEnroe is structured around the legendary Wimbledon Men’s Final of 1980, with the primary focus the battle of wills and psychological profiles of the two great rivals, who are shown to have more in common than might be imagined. Shia LaBeouf and Sverrir Gudnason are inspired casting choices as McEnroe and Borg respectively.
Good Time is a crime thriller on bad drugs, so intense and unrelenting in its sense-assaulting adrenaline-pumpin’ hand-held-shakin’ action that it leaves you disorientated. Great performances and highly impressive stylistically, but otherwise a bit light on.
Faces Places is a delightful, humanity-celebrating documentary that follows 89-year-old director Agnès Varda and 33-year-old guerrilla street artist JR on a mobile art project through rural France.
